We don't work on a first-come, first-served basis. After an exchange — email, phone or visit — we put your family on the litter that suits you, Beagle or Basset Hound.
Matching happens around week six. We observe every puppy from birth: the one who follows you everywhere, the one who settles alone in a corner, the one nothing seems to bother. That's what determines which puppy goes to which family — not the colour picked from a photo.
$500 deposit to confirm, applied to the total price. Refundable if the litter doesn't produce the right puppy for you.
No, and that's on purpose. Matching is based on temperament observed over six weeks, not coat colour. A very dominant puppy placed in a home with young children is a problem that shows up a year later. We introduce you to the puppy or puppies that fit your household, and you decide from there.
Honestly, yes. The Beagle is a pack hound bred to signal a trail by baying, and some individuals are more vocal than others. If you live in an apartment with close neighbours, tell us — we can steer you toward a quieter puppy in the litter, or toward a Basset Hound, which is generally more subdued.
No. Every family picks up their puppy at the farm. That lets us show you the handling routine one last time, hand over the full file, and see the puppy off in good conditions. We never ship through a transporter.
First round of vaccinations, complete deworming, microchip registered in your name, veterinary exam in the days before going home, health record, a few days' worth of food, a blanket carrying the litter's scent, and Canadian Kennel Club registration papers.
Yes. A two-year guarantee against serious hereditary conditions, provided in writing when the contract is signed. It covers replacement or refund, your choice. We also provide the screening results for both parents.
They come back here, at any age, no judgment. It's written into the contract. A dog we brought into the world doesn't end up in a shelter or a classified ad — we take care of it, or we find it a new home ourselves.
